TV Mount Mate visited a Holland Park property, W11, to inspect an 85-inch Samsung Frame Pro that tilted backwards when touched. The customer said the original installation had been arranged through Amazon. The television was already mounted on a dot-and-dab wall.

Bracket correction, not a new installation
The key task on this visit was to identify whether the movement was coming from the wall fixing or from the bracket itself before any correction was made. Once the wall plate was confirmed to be secure, the focus shifted to the bracket assembly so the existing hardware could be corrected rather than unnecessarily replaced.
A television tilting backwards when touched is unusual, so we checked the wall plate and its fixings first. They were secure, which ruled out movement at the wall. The problem was in the bracket assembly: the left and right mounting arms had been fitted on the opposite sides, and both tilt mechanisms were too loose.
The customer wanted to keep the existing bracket rather than replace it with a different TV bracket. The television was removed, with the customer helping only with the lift. TV Mount Mate refitted the two arms on their correct sides, tightened both tilt mechanisms and rehung the screen. After the correction, the television held its selected angle when touched instead of tilting backwards. This visit was limited to correcting the bracket. TV Mount Mate did not reconnect or test the Wireless One Connect box or any other equipment.

A gap of less than 1cm stopped the power connector passing behind the plasterboard. TV Mount Mate removed the television, formed a measured channel, ran the cable in a protective sleeve, then filled, sanded and painted.
