About TV Mount Mate

TV Mount Mate is the trading name of TV MOUNT MATE LIMITED, a limited company registered in England and Wales.

We provide mobile TV wall mounting and related installation services, visiting customers at their home or business across Greater London, Essex, and Kent. All work is carried out by our own in-house installers — we do not use subcontractors. We are fully insured up to £2,000,000.

2. What these terms cover

These terms apply whenever you book TV wall mounting or a related service with us, whether the booking is made through our website, by phone, by WhatsApp, by text, or by email. By confirming a booking with us, you agree to these terms.

Our services include, but are not limited to:

  • TV wall mounting
  • Plasterboard TV mounting
  • Brick wall TV mounting
  • Dot-and-dab TV mounting
  • Chimney breast TV mounting
  • TV mounting above fireplaces
  • Cable concealment and surface trunking
  • Soundbar installation
  • Samsung Frame TV installation
  • TV dismounting and remounting
  • Failed install rescue, where agreed
  • Bracket advice and bracket fitting
  • Related TV installation add-ons

3. Quotes, estimates, and fixed prices

Quotes provided online, by message, or over the phone are based on the information you give us before booking, such as TV size, wall type, bracket type, cable route, and access details.

A quote is fixed only for the agreed scope of work described at the time of booking.

If, on arrival, the job is materially different from what was agreed — for example, a different wall type, additional cable runs, or extra items needed — we will explain the difference and any change in price before starting any work. You are always free to decide not to proceed with a revised quote. However, where we have already attended and the difference is due to inaccurate, incomplete, or materially different information provided before booking, or a change of mind, the £60 wasted visit / call-out fee described in Section 9 may apply.

4. Booking confirmation

A booking is confirmed only once TV Mount Mate confirms the appointment by text, WhatsApp, email, or phone. Submitting a quote request form, or asking for a quote, does not by itself create a confirmed booking.

You must provide accurate information before booking, including an accurate description of your TV, wall, and the work you’d like carried out, so that we can prepare correctly for your appointment.

5. Customer responsibilities before we arrive

To help your appointment run smoothly, please make sure that:

  • An adult aged 18 or over is present for the full appointment.
  • We have safe access to the property and the work area.
  • The TV, bracket, cables, accessories, and any other agreed items are available on arrival.
  • You’ve told us about any known hazards, including hidden pipes, electrical cables, weak walls, damp, previous wall damage, or ongoing building work.
  • You’ve sent clear photos before the appointment, where we’ve asked for them.
  • The area around the wall is reasonably clear, so our installer can work safely.

6. Wall type, fixing method, and site conditions

The fixing method we use depends on your wall type (for example, plasterboard, brick, dot-and-dab, or a chimney breast) and the condition of the wall on the day.

If the wall type or site conditions on arrival are different from what was described before booking, we will explain what this means for the job, including any change to the method, materials, or price, before proceeding.

7. Brackets, cables, accessories, and add-ons

Where you supply your own bracket, cables, or accessories, please make sure these are suitable for your TV and the agreed mounting position. If an item you’ve supplied is unsuitable, damaged, or incomplete, we will let you know before proceeding, and this may affect the job or the price.

Any additional work or add-ons requested on the day (such as extra cable concealment or additional fixings) will be explained and agreed with you before we carry them out.

8. Payment

  • Payment is due on completion of the work.
  • No deposit is required to book.
  • We accept cash and bank transfer only. We do not currently accept card or contactless payments.
  • Any extras or additional work must be explained and approved by you before we continue.
  • If you have a query or dispute about the price, please raise it with us before making payment, so we can resolve it together.

9. £60 wasted visit / call-out fee

If we attend the property at the agreed appointment time and the job cannot go ahead, or you decide not to proceed after we have arrived, a £60 wasted visit / call-out fee may be charged. This fee covers travel time, fuel, parking where applicable, and the appointment slot that was reserved for you.

The £60 fee may apply where:

  • the information provided before booking was inaccurate, incomplete, or materially different from the situation on arrival;
  • the wall type, TV size, bracket type, cable route, access, or job scope is different from what was described;
  • you change your mind after we arrive;
  • you decide not to proceed with a revised quote after we explain that the actual job is different from the agreed scope;
  • the required TV, bracket, cables, or accessories are not available on arrival;
  • the work area is not ready or safe to work in;
  • we cannot gain access to the property;
  • an adult over 18 is not present.

The £60 fee will not apply if TV Mount Mate cancels or reschedules the appointment before arrival. The fee will also not apply where we decide not to start the work for safety or technical reasons that are not caused by inaccurate information, missing items, access problems, or a change of mind by the customer.

We will explain the reason for the fee before charging it and will only apply it where it is reasonable in the circumstances.

10. Cancellation and rescheduling

Please give us as much notice as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule — ideally at least 24 hours.

  • No charge applies if you cancel or reschedule before we have travelled to you.
  • If we arrive and you cancel, cannot provide access, or decide not to proceed, the £60 wasted visit / call-out fee described in Section 9 may apply.
  • If we need to reschedule your appointment due to illness, emergency, vehicle issues, severe weather, or other unexpected circumstances, we will offer you a new appointment at no extra charge.

11. No access or work area not ready

If we’re unable to gain access to the property at the agreed time, or the work area is not ready or safe to work in, we may be unable to carry out the job. In this situation, the £60 wasted visit / call-out fee described in Section 9 may apply.

12. Right to cancel for online, phone, or message bookings

If you book with us online, by phone, WhatsApp, text, or email, you may have a 14-day cancellation right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations.

If you ask us to attend or begin work within that 14-day period, you agree that we can start the service before the cancellation period ends.

If the work is fully completed before you cancel, payment is due for the completed work and you may lose the right to cancel that completed service.

If you cancel after we have started work but before the job is completed, payment may be due for the work already carried out.

This right sits alongside, and does not reduce, your other statutory rights.

13. When we may refuse or stop work

We may refuse to start, or may stop, work if:

  • the wall is unsafe or unsuitable for mounting;
  • hidden pipes or cables create a risk;
  • the requested mounting position is unsafe;
  • the bracket is unsuitable for the TV, wall, or position;
  • the TV or bracket is damaged or incomplete;
  • conditions on site are materially different from what was described before booking;
  • you or anyone else at the property is abusive, threatening, or creates an unsafe situation for our installer;
  • the job requires materials or work outside the agreed scope.

Where we refuse or stop work, we will explain why, and the £60 wasted visit / call-out fee described in Section 9 may apply, depending on the reason.

14. Safety, hidden pipes, cables, and unsuitable walls

Your safety, and the safety of our installers, comes first. If we identify hidden pipes, electrical cables, structural concerns, or an unsuitable wall during the job, we may need to pause, change the approach, or stop the work altogether.

Please tell us about any known hazards before we arrive, so we can plan the job safely. Where hazards were not disclosed and only become apparent on site, we will explain what this means for the job before continuing.

15. Workmanship guarantee

We offer a 12-month workmanship guarantee on completed installations. This is in addition to your statutory rights, including your right to have services carried out with reasonable care and skill under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

This guarantee covers the workmanship carried out by TV Mount Mate — for example, if a bracket we fitted comes loose from the wall due to how it was installed.

If something covered by this guarantee fails within 12 months, we will return to inspect it and, where it’s covered, put it right at no charge.

16. What the guarantee does not cover

The workmanship guarantee does not cover:

  • the TV itself
  • the bracket, cables, or accessories (including manufacturer defects)
  • wall movement or building movement
  • water damage
  • customer tampering or DIY changes made after our visit
  • third-party work carried out by someone else after our visit
  • unsuitable items supplied by the customer
  • issues caused by information the customer gave us incorrectly before or during the job

17. Liability

We carry public liability insurance up to £2,000,000.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot legally be excluded or limited under UK law.

We are not responsible for pre-existing wall damage, weak or unsuitable walls, hidden services that were not disclosed to us, faulty brackets or cables supplied by the customer, or changes made by third parties after our visit — unless any of this arises from our own negligence.

18. Photos and job records

We may take photos during your job for our own service records, proof of work, quality control, warranty support, and insurance purposes.

We may also use selected photos for marketing, but only with your permission. Marketing photos may appear on our website, Recent Work pages, Google Business Profile, Instagram, Facebook, or other business profiles.

We avoid publishing customer names, full addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, or other private details alongside job photos. If you’d like a marketing photo removed, just let us know and we’ll take it down.

For more detail on how we handle personal data and photos, please see our Privacy Policy.

19. Complaints

If something isn’t right, please tell us — we want the chance to put it right.

You can contact us at tvmountmate@gmail.com or 07944 499585. We aim to acknowledge complaints within 2 working days and to respond properly within 14 working days.

Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

20. Website use

Our website is provided for the purpose of finding out about our services, requesting quotes, and getting in touch with us. Please use the website responsibly and do not attempt to misuse it, interfere with its operation, or submit false information through it.

21. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

22. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time, for example if our services or policies change. Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. The terms that applied at the time of your booking will govern that booking.
