65-Inch LG G6 Mounted on a Dot-and-Dab Wall in Battersea

This 65-inch LG G6 wall mounting in Battersea, SW11, used the original LG flush bracket supplied with the television. The dot-and-dab wall had a concrete block behind it, an existing socket sat right where the screen needed to go, and the television had to be centred precisely inside a moulded panel.

Project Overview

This 65-inch LG G6 OLED was mounted on a dot-and-dab wall in Battersea using the original LG flush bracket. The fixing layout was adapted to the plasterboard and concrete block construction, while the existing socket was recessed so the television could sit close to the wall and remain centred within the decorative moulded panel.

Assessing the Dot-and-Dab Wall

The wall consisted of dot-and-dab plasterboard with an approximately 4cm gap and solid concrete block behind. The available fixing positions were checked before the original LG bracket was installed.

Securing the Original LG Flush Bracket

Four LG-supplied fixings were taken through to the concrete block, with two metal plasterboard fixings completing the bracket layout and providing suitable support across the available positions.

Recessing the Socket for a Close Fit

The existing socket sat directly behind the planned television position and would have prevented the LG G6 from sitting close to the wall. The socket and back box were recessed deeper into the wall to create the required clearance.

The Finished Close-to-Wall Result

The LG G6 was positioned precisely within the decorative moulded panel. Recessing the socket allowed the original LG flush bracket to work as intended, producing a clean, close-to-wall finished installation.

The original Samsung Slim Fit mount was suitable, but an uneven wall surface first had to be sanded so the Frame could sit flush. Four GripIt fixings were used, with the One Connect box housed inside the cabinet.
