This 83-inch Samsung S95F went up in Loughton, IG10, on a solid brick wall behind a plastered finish. No wall mount was supplied with this TV, so a compatible One For All flat wall bracket was fitted instead, chosen for the wall, screen size and an existing power socket.

The main challenge was the position of the existing power socket behind the television, which meant a completely flush installation was not suitable. The bracket position and spacing therefore had to be planned carefully to provide the necessary clearance while keeping the screen level, centred and as close to the wall as the existing setup allowed.
A builder had already fitted the power supply at the height and position needed, and the socket, plug body and cable bend prevented a close fit. Spacers held the television clear enough for the plug and cable, rather than forcing a flush fit that would not have worked.
Behind the plaster, the wall was solid brick, so the bracket went in with Fischer 10mm wall plugs and turbo coach screws, clear of the mortar joints. Getting it level took care, with fixing points landing on sound brick rather than mortar.
The Sonos Arc Ultra was supplied and set up by TV Mount Mate, positioned on the cabinet below rather than mounted to the wall, connecting over HDMI/eARC with cables routed behind the TV and cabinet.
The 83-inch screen sits at the height and centre chosen for the cabinet and viewing position, held clear of the wall by the amount the socket needed.
