This LG C5 was mounted on a plasterboard wall using six metal toggle fixings. After checking the nearby lights, cables and stove area, the TV was positioned level and centred with the power connection hidden behind it.
There was no usable stud at the required position, and none of the bracket wall plate holes aligned with one. After checking the board and cavity, we secured the fixed bracket using six metal toggle fixings. The cavity gave the toggles enough room to open behind the board.
The customer wanted the television centred between two wall lights. We checked their likely cable routes before drilling and found no cables near the fixing area. We also checked the nearby stove and flue. The stove was not in normal use, and the television was mounted on a separate wall surface.
The LG C5 was mounted level and centred between the lights. It was connected only to the socket behind it, with no other cables routed through the wall and no power lead hanging below the screen.
