A 65-inch Samsung S90F replaced an older television in Greenwich, SE10. The customer wanted to reuse the existing fixed One For All bracket and keep the same screen height. Because its VESA holes sat lower than the previous television’s, the wall plate had to be removed, measured and remounted lower.

This project involved replacing an older television with a 65-inch Samsung S90F while reusing the existing fixed bracket and maintaining the customer’s preferred screen height. The different VESA position meant the wall plate had to be carefully removed, checked and remounted lower on the plasterboard wall.
The existing bracket was compatible, but its position had been set for the previous television’s VESA layout. On this replacement, leaving the wall plate in the same place would have made the S90F sit higher than the old screen. Keeping the requested height therefore required new measurements and a lower wall-plate position.
Once the plate was removed, plywood backing behind the plasterboard on the left allowed those fixings to enter the wood. The right side was hollow, so metal hollow-wall anchors were installed with a setting tool that expanded them behind the board. Samsung’s spacers were fitted behind the lower bracket arms. The upper and lower VESA points needed two correct M8 screw lengths supplied by TV Mount Mate. The plate was remounted lower before the television was lifted into position.
The finished Samsung S90F now sits at the customer’s requested height above the cabinet, using the existing bracket with its wall plate repositioned for this television.
